Foresight books - home-intro-text
FORESIGHT BOOKS is a small independent publisher of scholarly works on early smallarms and ammunition, including their use in training and in battle. The books are based on long and intensive study of all available specimens and archival sources. To assist the reader they are organised in a clear and logical way, with headings and sub-headings to aid access and understanding, and are written in a fluent, very readable style. They are lavishly illustrated with high quality monochrome photos and line drawings, and each of them has established itself as 'the standard work' in its field.
LEAD SHOT OF THE ENGLISH CIVIL WAR: A RADICAL STUDY
has been awarded The President's Cup of the Historical Breechloading Smallarms Association (HBSA), which is given "For The Most Outstanding Contribution to Smallarms Research" in the past year. The cup was presented to author David Harding in London on 17th February 2014.
This book is becoming established among archaeologists as the standard work on 17th century lead shot, and continued demand has led to a third printing, which is now available.
